Actual results
1.
Establishment of a full operational communication network among project partners. The network has been established. All partners communicate electronically. Focal point is the coordination secretariat operating in Crete Region.
2.
Definition of partner's requirements as it concerns water resources management. The "needs identification study" has been completed and approved in the meeting in Marseilles.
3.
Installation of 10 remote operational monitoring stations of meteorological and hydrological parameters.

The installation of 15 remote operational stations has been implemented as follows:

  • Crete: 5
  • Central Macedonia: 3
  • Sofia: 3
  • FYROM: 2
  • Gjirokaster: 2

Establishment of water quality monitoring system in each region. Priority has given to establishment of water quality monitoring system in pilot areas selected by the needs identification study.

Training on computer techniques and water quality parameters monitoring techniques. 12 persons have been trained on computer techniques and quality issues (Crete-April, 2002).

Training on quality and risk issues. 15 persons have been trained on quality and risk issues (Marceilles-September, 2002)
7.
Development of a relational Regional and interregional database. A relational regional database has been developed according to regional requirements.
8.
Establishment of 4 regional workstations and 1 interregional workstation. 5 regional workstations (Crete, Thessaloniki, Dojran, Sofia, Gjirokaster) have been established.
9.
The development of data set. A dataset of quality and quantity parameters has been collected and analysed.
10.
The development of an interregional website for data dissemination. A website for Interisk information dissemination has been developed.
